A Baltimore Trade, Passed Down Three Generations

Automotive work has never been merely a business for the Clark family. It is a trade passed through generations. Founder Edward John Clark Jr. established Clark's Automotive in 1947. His son, Dan Clark Sr., carried the business forward as its second-generation owner. Today, Dan's son Joseph ‘Joe’ Clark continues the family tradition as Clark's third-generation owner. Dan Clark Jr. and son-in-law Joe Ball also followed the family trade as mechanics.

The Shop

From Eden Street to Eastern Avenue

For years, Clark's Automotive worked out of its former location at 417 S. Eden Street in Baltimore. The shop later moved across the street to its current home at 1320 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21231, where Joe and the Clark's Automotive team work today.

Automotive work has always been the family trade here—learned in the bay, handed down, and practiced on the same Baltimore blocks for decades.
